Grange-over-Sands:  Lakeland Riviera:

If your overseas holidays are off-limits this year, look no further than a relaxing break in Grange-over-Sands. the ‘Lakeland Riveria’.

Grange-over-Sands grew slowly as a small fishing village, and during the 18th-century it had occasional shipping. By the 1820s, Grange was described as a ‘beautiful sea-bathing village where there were a small number of villas and hotels.

The Promenade:

With a mile-long promenade, formal flowerbeds and smart cafes, what could be more enjoyable than looking out over the vista of Morecambe Bay?

The beautiful gardens run the length and screen the railway line. They were created for visitors and residents to enjoy whilst taking the sea air.
