Welcome to Kents Bank Holiday Cottage, a family-run, dog-friendly self-catering holiday cottage in Grange-over-Sands, Cumbria, near the Lake District National Park overlooking beautiful Morecambe Bay. Since 2011, we have been welcoming guests to our peaceful two-bedroom cottage, sharing our local knowledge and helping visitors discover one of Cumbria’s most beautiful corners.

We are David and Pam, your hosts at Kents Bank Holiday Cottage in Grange-over-Sands. We have two wonderful children, one crazy spaniel called Buddy – or ‘Le Bud’ to our French chums – and we also help look after our daughter’s cob, Archie, who is known to be a little stubborn!

Living in Grange-over-Sands means enjoying the very best of Cumbria, with easy access to the spectacular Lake District landscapes, the South Lakes and the ever-changing beauty of Morecambe Bay.

Pam was born in Grange-over-Sands and has lived here all her life. She grew up surrounded by animals on a local farm and has worked for the NHS since her teenage years. Her loyalty, kindness and care for others are at the heart of everything she does.

David, originally from Lancashire, spent the first 20 years of his career in engineering and the last 18 working for a legal firm in Ulverston. He has loved every moment of living and working in this beautiful part of the South Lakes.

We live less than five minutes from Kents Bank Holiday Cottage and, having welcomed guests since 2011, we personally greet many of our visitors and ensure they feel settled before they begin enjoying their stay.

Our passion for Grange-over-Sands, Morecambe Bay and the Lake District inspires everything we do. We never tire of the stunning scenery, friendly community and peaceful charm of this special corner of Cumbria, and we love sharing it with our guests.

Dog Friendly Cottage

Here at Kents Bank Holiday we adore dogs and welcome your four-legged friend to stay. For most pet lovers your dog is part of your family, so pack your doggy rucksack and bring them along too.

We have a large secure garden and lots of doggy things to do and sniff in the area.

We accept one well-behaved dog for which we make a small additional charge of £5 per night.
