Birkrigg Stone Circle:
It’s remarkable that this prehistoric stone circle, on Birkrigg Common near Ulverston, has been here for over 3000 years.
Known as The Druid’s Temple, the site consists of rare concentric double stone circles in use from the Late Neolithic to the end of the Early Bronze Age.
To think how the world has developed since they were placed here is absolutely incredible.
