We are pet-friendly and have easy access to the Lake District attractions. For example, Windermere is 8 miles and medieval Cartmel is only 2 miles away.
If you prefer to stay local, Grange promenade is well worth a stroll. Check out the station for its Victorian canopy and carved ironwork at one end and the art deco lido (now boarded up).
The ornamental Gardens with its duck pond and Park Road Gardens with its bandstand (look out for the Sunday afternoon concerts in summer).
Grange also boasts many independent shops, such as Higginsons butchers, Fletchers greengrocers and Johnston’s gift shop to name a few.
If tearooms with a bygone feel are your thing, try Hazelmere Cafe in Yewbarrow Terrace where you will be served prettily served sandwiches (made with homemade bread) pies and cakes that will delight any visitor to this Edwardian seaside town.
Grange-over-Sands: Out of Season Break?

Grange-over-Sands is less than 2 hours away from both Leeds and Manchester, making it easily accessible for a short-stay holiday.
It will come as no surprise either that it can rain a lot in the Lakes, but don’t let that put you put for a second.

2. Relax over long, lazy lunches at some of the excellent restaurants in the area
