Cartmel Village Blooms:
Cartmel’s green-fingered gardeners have done the village proud again this year.
They have won gold awards for the Best Small Village and Best Overall Village.
The flower tubs, window boxes and hanging baskets around the village add a splash of colour to the narrow streets.
Additionally, they have won a host of other awards, including the Growing for Gold award.
This award marks 50 years of the Royal Horticultural Society Britain in Bloom-for a special scheme adorning the village Institute.
