Throughout the spring and summer, approximately 30 cross-bay walks take place, most notably the Arnside to Kents Bank route.
Until recently, these walks were led by Michael Wilson, the Queen’s Official Guide. His unwavering dedication to this tradition has inspired countless adventurers.
In 2019, after a remarkable 56 years of service, Cedric Robinson MBE passed the torch to Michael Wilson, a seasoned Flookburgh fisherman.
As the 26th Guide over Sands, Michael embarks on a new chapter in this time-honored tradition.
