Kendal Mountain Festival is the largest gathering of outdoor enthusiasts in the country.
The festival has been running since 1980 and takes place each year in November.
The event runs for four days in the small market town of Kendal in the Lake District and is a fantastic mix of both ticketed and free events.
There is so much to see and do. From over 170 speakers, telling their stories from around the world; over 40 writers, poets and artists gathering under the banner of the Book Festival, to film makers who are showcasing their work on the big screen.
So much talent all hoping to broaden and inspire minds to explore the great outdoors.
The vision of the organisers is to inspire more people to explore, respect and represent mountains, wilderness and their cultures.
The 2022 event, saw over 25,000 tickets sold. At the centre of the festival was the ‘basecamp’ set up in the grounds of Abbott Hall.
