New Slate Monolith in Grange:
Grange Soroptomists recently unveiled their Burlington slate monolith to mark their 60th anniversary.
Soroptomist members from across the country attended the unveiling by the Mayor of Grange – Tricia Thomas.
The monolith is situated near to Grange Railway station and close to the duck pond.
Grange over Sands’ Soroptimist International is part of a global women’s organisation affiliated with the United Nations.
Grange SI meets in Cartmel Village Hall on the first Tuesday of each month at 7.30 p.m.
These meetings are for the administration of the club, and they are where the club’s activities and projects are planned.
